  • Overview

    The Retail Supervisor at Lone Peak Logo is an expert on products and brands offered by Big Sky Resort’s retail outlet “Lone Peak Logo”. They instill in their coworkers the meaning and importance of customer service, they lead by example, and they create a positive work environment.  They will support the retail managers and retail department in achieving customer service and sales goals, while managing inventory and representing Big Sky Resort in a positive manner. 


    Necessary Job Functions:

    • Required to gain strong knowledge of Big Sky Resort property and the surrounding areas.
    • Must be able to answer questions about activities and sights in the area and make sales suggestions based on guests’ wants and needs.
    • Manage and control inventory by stocking and organizing. 
    • Cleaning and organizing daily to keep sales area in prime appearance.
    • Must be able to work independently and multi-task
    • Utilize the tools and training provided by Big Sky Resort to develop selling and service skills, resulting in long-term customer relationships and increased sales.
    • Give accurate and current information about the merchandise for all brands in the store
    • Handle product sales and returns in a way that is professional and customer focused. 
    • Handling mail-in returns in a timely manner.


    • Report to work at a scheduled time.
    • Cash register operations; employees are expected to use the register without error and to be consistently accurate in money handling.
    • Understand and use system reports including inventory lookup, Boyne Reward signups, and daily sales goals. 
    • Use correct system procedures for processing online orders, transfers and special orders.
    • Practice security measures that help prevent theft; understand the procedures for handling shoplifters.
    • Always practice safety awareness at all times.
    • Participate in inventory control measures, including an entire annual inventory count.

    • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
    • Retail experience preferred but not required.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Able to stand/walk for extended periods, necessary to provide sales floor coverage related to customer service and loss prevention.
    • Able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry product, necessary for customer service, inventory re-stock, and store merchandising.
    • Able to walk up and down staircase, carrying boxes, product, and other necessary store related items.
    • Able to regularly perform store maintenance items:  sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean.
    • Able to safely lift boxes up to 55 lbs.
    • Comfortable climbing ladders.
    • Typical work week is approximately 40 hours.
