  • Overview

    As a Playcare Attendant you are responsible for supervising and interacting with children from ages 3-12 years old. 


    The Playcare Attendant's typical job functions include:

    • Helping plan and prepare materials for activities, implementing activities for the children, and attentively watching and attending to the children ages 3-12
    • Reading to children, and teaching them simple painting, drawing, handcrafts, and songs
    • Providing a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use for imaginative play
    • Organizing and participating in recreational activities, such as games
    • Organizing and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas
    • Maintaining a clean, safe and fun child care environment
    • Assisting children in getting dressed for their afternoon SnowSports lessons after activities are finished, attending to children’s needs throughout the day; restroom break, napping or staying with children who are not participating while their class is outside
    • Enforcing all administration policies and rules governing students
    • Ensuring safe play conditions and follows established security procedures


    This position may be for you if:

    • You are over 18 years old
    • You have achieved a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)
    • You have experience working with children ages 3-12
    • You possess strong public relations skills and excellent communications skills
    • You have the ability to work well with children ages 3-12 and display patiences
    • You have the ability to move and react quickly to a variety of circumstances
    • You are able to frequently walk, stand, sit, talk and lift often as the job requires
