Assist in daily operations of the Rental Shop, and the Children’s Center Rental Area, hiring & training staff, maintaining all equipment (Inventory, ASTM testing, tuning, warranty items) while focusing on quality guest service thought out every transaction. Master all Loon Mountain’s services, promotions and hours of operations in order to provide consistent information to all guests and employees. Actively contribute to a safe clean environment for all guests throughout Loon Mountain Resort. Provide quality customer service and act with accountability.
Assist in overseeing the operations in the rental department (including the rental area in the children’s center). Coordinating job sharing with Food and Beverage during the middle of the day.
Conduct ASTM pre season testing on entire rental Fleet.
Conduct ASTM Testing on all injury equipment, complete specific forms and file.
Participate in staff selection and training. Responsible maintaining and training staff in guest service standards set by Loon Mountain and meeting the service level objectives and department goals.
Set and example and expectations for the staff.
Master the use of RTP and Time and Attendance.
Approve Kronos when Manager is not on duty.
Prepare & conduct 4 Safety and Service morning meetings a week, covering the Boyne Basic’s and any promotion and or event happening on the mountain.
Coordinate Tuning center weekly pick up and drop off.
Rotate inventory weekly.
Master all Rental, Lesson, Lift ticket products and understand the sales process & fulfillment details for each.
Account for and handle money: review and maintain accurate bank and safe records and POS closing everyday. Do a safe audit once a week.
Assist in the end of season procedures of the Rental Shop.
Answer Phone calls and messages; solve problems for guests (internal [staff] and external) and relay messages.
Adjust staffing due to current days business levels.
Contribute to the team effort by participating in job sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guest and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Retail experience a plus.
