    Lift Operator is a part or full-time, seasonal position at Boyne Highlands Resort. The primary focus of the lift operator is to tend to the ski lifts and help transport skiers up slope or mountainside.

    Pull levers to start, stop, and adjust speed of lifts.


    Assist skiers onto and from lift and instruct them in safety procedures.


    Observe skiers boarding lift to ensure they are safely seated and safety belts or bars are secure.


    Keep corral and terminal area clean and orderly promoting safety procedures at all times.


    Perform snow maintenance on ramps, terminal area, corral and other areas as needed.


    Assist in daily lift inspections.


    Gain thorough understanding of all aspects of Boyne Highlands Resort in order to function as information source for guest.






    Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions.


    Education and/or Experience                                                       


    Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Work Environment


    While performing the duties of this Job, the Team Member is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold; risk and of electrical shock. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
