    The Director of Marketing will support Boyne Resorts’ Core Values—Develop Great People, Have Passion, Be Innovative, Think Long Term, Excellence in Execution—while developing a best-in-class resort marketing team.  Moving the team toward data driven decision making.     You will be successful in this position if you can:

    • Be a mentor: provide guidance, support and education to Marketing team members  “Coach, develop great people…recruit the best talent”
    • Work with the senior management team at Big Sky to develop and implement strategic goals that relate to the resort
    • Deliver on marketing KPI’s, analyze and share with senior management and allow for the tracking of successes and progress
    • Guide development of revenue and pricing strategies:  work with the Marketing team at the resort to build and execute marketing plans as well as implement key marketing program to grow guest base.
    • Understand and implement trends and emerging technologies that provide the ability to engage targeted audiences


    This position will report directly to the President / General Manager of Big Sky Resort and the CMO of Boyne Resorts as well as being a key member of the Big Sky senior management team. The Director of Marketing will oversee, guide, develop, and measure the marketing team at Big Sky Resort. 


    This person will work closely with these teams in defining the marketing strategies necessary to support the resort’s overall business plan and long-term direction.  The position provides oversight, expertise and leadership in marketing for Big Sky to ensure that each is executing in close coordination with Operations, Revenue Management, and Sales at a high level of efficiency and productivity.  Responsibilities also include the strategy, development and implementation of innovative programs and communications that result in sustainable growth across the company.


    • Build strong functional and collaborative relationships with the Big Sky senior team, and other department heads to ensure an environment of cooperation and an openness to new or innovative ideas and programs
    • Develop and Oversee marketing budget both seasonally and annually
    • Develop CRM initiatives that include increasing size, depth and usability of current and future resort database
    • Lead the development of analytics for marketing programs
    • Brand Management: be an active and strong guardian of Big Sky’s brand(s), working with the Boyne CMO to ensure a smooth transition from brand development to brand management


    • A minimum of ten years of marketing in the ski resort or related industries
    • Experience in pricing and product development along with yield management skills
    • Experience in CRM, Marketing Automation and Digital marketing
    • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud
    • Data driven Critical thinker
    • Working understanding of consumer segmentation, personas, behavior and trends as related to resort industry
    • Strong communication skills, clear and concise
