    Director of Guest Services is a full-time, year-round position at Boyne Highlands Resort.  This is an amazing opportunity to join our team during our transformation to become 4.5 star hotel. Looking for an enthusiastic "can do" attitude to help us achieve our goals. This position will perform the duties of shuttles/ bellman and a concierge, while supervising other team members in this department as well as ski valet and pool attendants. Looking for candidate who already has experience in delivering exceptional guest service. Individual will be required to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide quality service to guests by responding to requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously during check-in, checkout, and throughout stay.
    • Remain aware of all pertinent information, including but not limited to location and features of guest rooms, distinguished guests, events within the city limits, etc.
    • Deliver messages, faxes, parcels and packages in a timely manner.
    • Handle luggage transfers properly and in a timely manner.
    • Maintain general knowledge of the area surrounding Boyne Highlands; gives directions clearly and concisely.
    • Answer all telephone calls properly, using appropriate scripts.
    • Park and deliver guest vehicles as requested, always following proper driving etiquette when driving on public roads.
    • Maintain umbrella availability for guest usage during inclement weather.
    • Maintain clean bell carts and porte-cochere entrance.
    • Maintain a clean, neat, well-organized work area, and be aware of and follow all safety rules and regulations.
    • Possess a thorough working knowledge of area activities and restaurants in order to inform guests and be able to offer recommendations.
    • Update all staff members on all resort activities local attractions.
    • Arrange any reservations and activities (i.e., golf tee times, spa appointments, ski lessons) as desired by guests while being sure to document all reservations as instructed.
    • Make alternative suggestions and reservations if a guest’s first choice is not available.
    • Maintain good working relationships with other departments, assisting them when necessary.
    • Maintain up-to-date concierge information books.
    • Maintain cleanliness of concierge desk and area.
    • Handle shuttle services on and off the resort, always following proper driving etiquette and being safe
    • Maintain sidewalk conditions
    • Lead a team between 15-45 team members
    • Bring innovative ideas to improve our guest experience

    Qualifications

    Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or one year to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess valid Chauffer’s license.

    Leadership experience preferred.
