  • Overview

    As a Terrain Park Manager you are responsible for the design, development, implementation and daily management of all Boyne Mountain terrain parks, providing a focus on safety.

    Responsibilities

    The Terrain Park Manager's typical job functions include:

    • Managing staffing of Parks and Pipes department, including hiring /separation, coaching, goal setting and accountability of team
    • Overseeing grooming, construction and maintenance of all terrain parks
    • Responsible for construction, and maintenance of all terrain park hardware, infrastructure, signage and lighting
    • Responsible for developing and maintaining department training manuals, safety documentation, communication forms, and other department paperwork needs
    • Assisting with year-round mountain maintenance and other misc. on-hill needs
    • Responsible for adhering to Boyne Mountain corporate standard trends regarding parks and pipes
    • Providing input regarding Parks and Pipes websites, promotions and other marketing needs
    • Responsible for implementation of all Parks and Pipes events
    • Managing financial needs of the department; budgeting, tracking, procurement, payroll, and other expenses and profits
    • Developing interpersonal skills of staff toward general public

     

    Qualifications

    This position might be for you if:

    • You are at least 18 years old
    • You are available weekends, nights, days and holidays
    • You have achieved a high school diploma or completed a GED; three to six month related job experience preferred
    • You possess a valid driver's license
    • You are a proficient skier or snowboarder
    • You have previous experience successfully leading a team, strong communication skills and excellent attention for details
    • You have experience with Microsoft computer programs such as Word and Excel
    • You are able to frequently stand; walk; lift and or move 25 pounds; frequently lift and or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds
    • You are interested in being a part of a team focused on success
