Overview

The Health Club Manager is responsible for overseeing the general operation of their assigned Health Club and Pool and for supervising and delegating to a team of staff, in addition to fulfilling all health club attendant responsibilities. The Manager is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling and counseling Health Club employees.

Responsibilities

The Health Club Manager’s primary goal is to encourage and support a culture of excellence, consistent quality, respect and outstanding guest service in the Health Clubs by:

  • Leading by example in the execution of all duties performed by health club attendants. This includes, but is not limited to: removing and replacing the pool cover, ensuring the cleaning and sanitizing of the pool, fitness equipment, work out areas and restroom facilities.
  • Leading culture and company history training for all new staff.
  • Providing hands-on leadership and guidance to all Health Club staff.
  • Building relationships with Maintenance, Front of House and other Lodging departments.
  • Monitoring guest and employee usage of Health Clubs.
  • Addressing guest issues and concerns quickly and effectively.
  • Creating and updating training programs for seasonal staff.
  • Having an open door policy for any and all issues.
  • Scheduling and leading Health Club meetings.
  • Overseeing of payroll system for staff.
  • Attending weekly Lodging and Front of House meetings.
  • Promoting good health and wellness. Willing to work indoors and outdoors while standing/walking/working an 8 hour shift. Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Abiding by and uphold Big Sky Resort and Boyne, USA policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous guest service experience in a hotel or resort environment is preferred and management experience is appreciated.
