Overview

Adventure Center Desk Attendant is full time seasonal position at Boyne Highlands. Attendants are responsible for providing quality service to guests by responding to their questions and requests and scheduling activities promptly, efficiently, and courteously on phone calls and during check-in process.

Responsibilities

Register, process, and greet guests and promptly.

 

Book and/or edit reservations for all Adventure Center Activities using computer software over the phone and in person

 

Develop a thorough knowledge of all activities offered at Adventure Center.

 

Verify all guest information and ensure proper paperwork is completed at time of check-in.

 

Know all cash handling procedures. Possesses a thorough knowledge of credit and traveler's check cash handling procedures and adhere to them.

 

Answer telephones promptly using proper telephone etiquette and appropriate script.

 

Works independently to assist guests whenever possible to ensure a positive experience

 

Keep Adventure Center Managers fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of possible significance.

 

Judgment

 

Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions.

 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience                                                      

 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

 

None required.

 

Other Requirements

 

Knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word and Excel, or other word processing and spreadsheet software required. Experience with point of sale software preferred.
