Provide for the safe uphill transportation for guests and team members by supervising the daily operations of ski lifts and the team members who operate them. Confers regularly with VP of Operations and other departments, especially lift maintenance, to plan, coordinate and evaluate activities, exchange information, and resolve problems. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each team member’s job is to get and keep guests.
Plan, supervise and coordinate daily lift operations by exercising supervisory leadership over approximately 75 team members. Planning and conducting departmental meetings and coordinating activities.
Follow up on training of team members by assigning and checking work, and resolving problems.
Monitors weather conditions and general surroundings by inspecting all lifts on a regular basis.
Provides for safe and efficient lift operations by ensuring compliance with established company policies and procedures and requirements.
Supervise and assist with daily openings and closings by providing transportation for team members to work sites; and preparation of ramps, closing and similar tasks.
Prepare and supervise emergency operations by training and evaluating operators on a continual basis.
Deals with specific problems such as break downs and equipment malfunctions of lifts by initiating established emergency operational procedures.
Provides superior service to our guests by following Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with guests. Respond to all guests and employees in a courteous, efficient manner.
Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and team members; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate VP of Operations.
The physical demands require agility, ability to withstand all weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs and skiing and riding skills. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The team member is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to obtain Resort Certification for all necessary equipment.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
