Overview

Coordinates and produces four-season events and competitions that benefit Loon Mountain Resort by leveraging exposure and adding value for guests. This will include planning, negotiation, and coordination with on-resort teams and outside vendors, partners and suppliers.  As Loon is a guest-focused organization, a crucial part of each employee's job is to get and keep guests.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain master schedule of resort events
  • Coordinate and execute events according to resort safety guidelines
  • Build and manage department budget
  • Hire, schedule and manage department staff
  • Build event partner contracts
  • Coordinate, schedule and budget resources from other resort departments and outside vendors
  • Produce internal function sheets in timely manner that detail dates, schedule and location of event(s). Communicate updates as needed.
  • Manage inventory of department equipment, supplies and materials
  • Manage and track event waivers through 1Risk online system
  • Organize event registrations
  • Coordinate and assist with the setup and teardown of on-mountain event arenas. Maintain arenas according to resort best practices.
  • Manage billing of resort partners
  • Develop new events that support the resort brand. Work with VP of Marketing to engage outside sponsorships for events when applicable.
  • Professional attire, demeanor along with a can-do attitude each day.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Valid Driver’s License Required. Resort Certification for any used equipment.
