The Terrain Park Groomer is responsible for the nightly construction, re-construction and maintenance of terrain park features in addition to the nightly grooming of all terrain found within each terrain park. This position is key to maintaining all terrain park elements to provide a fun and safe environment/experience for our guests. 


The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position. 

  • Ability to construct and maintain terrain park features using a snow cat.
  • Responsible for grooming of all terrain park features using a snow cat.
  • Safely operating grooming equipment.
  • Performing maintenance to all groom-able take-offs / landings.
  • Performing maintenance to the normal terrain that surrounds the features.
  • Responsible for supervising night time hand crew during build projects.
  • Assist in digging out and moving jib features.
  • Communicating nightly grooming results to groomer supervisor, park manager, and day supervisor.
  • Responsible for filling out all grooming forms nightly.
  • Other duties may be assigned depending on snow conditions and weekly build plans.

  • Safety – Demonstrates safety consciousness with guests, resort and co-workers.  Attends safety meetings and adheres to safety codes and procedures.


  • 3-5 years of experience in freestyle grooming (preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in freestyle grooming (required).
  • Excellent time management.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • General understanding of terrain park flow.
  • Safety orientated. 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.  Must be 18 years of age or older.
