Mountain Operations is seeking candidates that have the desire to learn all aspects of snowcat and vehicle maintenance and repair. Gained knowledge will include all automotive and snowcat systems such as engine, transmission, axle, brake and electronics. 

The Automotive Mechanic must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive and/or professional training. Required knowledge of all automotive systems including engine, transmission, axle, brake and electronics. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• troubleshooting
• preventative maintenance
• vehicle inspections on pick-up trucks and small engines
• Experience with welding oxy-acetylene and fabrication is a plus
• Must be able to work independently and as a team servicing a fleet of vehicles
• Previous diagnostic and repair experience required

Snowcat Mechanic candidate must have 2 years of experience in snow-cat maintenance and repair. Must also have knowledge of gas and diesel engines, hydraulic and hydro-static systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• troubleshooting and repair on snow-cats, heavy equipment, rolling stock and small engine
• Experience in welding and acetylene cutting necessary
• Must be able to work independently and in a team setting

• Previous heavy equipment experience
• Ability to operate large machinery to include, but not limited to: snow-cats, forklifts, loaders, garbage truck, and plow truck
• Heavy lifting and the ability to work outdoors in cold temperatures also required
• Mechanically inclined with initiative to learn
