Overview

As a Cashier you are responsible for operating a point of sale system, handling many methods of payment, balancing cash drawers, making deposits and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

The Cashier's typical job functions include:

  • Completing guest transactions with a point of sale computer system
  • Handling cash, credit, gift cards and other methods of payment
  • Balancing cash drawers and making daily deposits
  • Answering guests questions
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work area
  • Assisting with other assigned tasks

Qualifications

This position may be for you if:

 

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • You have had cash handling experience preferred
  • You are interested in a position in customer service
  • You are able to stand for long periods of time
