The Grooming Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for repairs and ongoing preventative maintenance for all grooming and other equipment at the resort. This position requires someone with mechanical knowledge, experience, and their own tools. Must be able to troubleshoot problems and be able to repair and fix in a timely manner. Ideal candidate should be comfortable working on their own and within a team setting. Takes initiative to get any and all jobs completed accurately and proficiently and is someone who doesn’t understand the term “not my job.”

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive and/or professional training. Required knowledge of all automotive systems including engine, transmission, axle, brake and electronics. Experience with welding oxy-acetylene, and fabrication is a plus. Candidate must have the ability to operate, or train on large machinery to include, but not limited to, snow cats, forklifts, loaders, and plow trucks. Heavy lifting and the ability to work outdoors in cold temperatures, also required. Must posses a valid Driver’s License.
Work in this classification is considered heavy physical work requiring the exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, and crouch.
