Overview

Sunday River's Vacation Sales Specialists are outgoing and friendly in nature, have the abitlty to interact with a wide range of people, and develop friendly personal relations with others. This position requires great attention to detail, the ability to read other people, and to listen to their wants and needs. A faster than average pace will be the norm for this position. There is a fair degree of change from day to day, therefore the job requires Sales Specialists to shift from task to task quickly and maintain a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit, receive and accurately process travel request for new reservations by phone, email, or fax.
  • Generate additional revenue by upselling and outbound calling to past customer lists.
  • Work at a consistent and steady pace - sometimes under pressure to meet sales goals.
  • Consistently carring out the directions of a supervisor; sales coaching.
  • Work in a neat and organized manner.
  • Solve new or unfamiliar problems while tactfully avoid disagreements or conflicts.
  • Closely checking the correctness of work done by others and self to ensure that work meets quality standards.
  • Work with complex systems and/or processes (Springer Miller Systems and RTP)
  • Speak persuaslvely by selling ideas and/or other intangibles and must be comfortable asking for the sale.
  • Provide services, support and/or information by phone.
  • Make decisions independently and be calm and patient at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and company policies and regulations.
  • NAVIS:
    • Maintain potential and current guest profile information/leads.
    • Accurately track in-bound and out-bound buisness.
    • Meet NAVIS goals.
  • RTP:
    • Sell SnowSports School clinics, Season Pass products, gift cards, special event tickets, and seasonal products to all guests.
  • Job Sharing; be ready and wiling to help out in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

Previous customer service experience and knowledge of SpringerMiller, RTP, and/or Navis is preferred but not required.
