NEW OPENING: Sugarloaf is looking for a few detail oriented and tech savvy people to take on the role of Lift Control. Sugarloaf Lift Control serves as a bridge of communication between the lift department and many other departments. This position communicates via radio, phone, and email to relay information and to coordinate the opening and closing of lifts throughout the day. Lift Control will be asked to help with data entry and other office tasks as well. This is an excellent position for an individual with some knowledge of ski area operations and a desire to network. 


  • Coordinate and monitor the opening and closing of lifts throughout the day in addition to keeping a detailed record of daily events
  • Communicate via phone, email, and radio with all major departments affected by the status of lift operations
  • Update lift status related media for the Sugarloaf website and public information boards
  • Assist lift operations as needed
  • Assist with administrative and office support tasks as needed


The ideal candidate for this position will:

  • be comfortable working in a fast paced environment with periodic slow times
  • be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access at a profieicnt level along with other types of software required to complete tasks
  • be able to interact in a professional and coridal manner with all other mountain departments
  • have a valid driver's license

A minimum of a high school degree or degree equivalent is required. Knowledge of lift operations is preferred, but not required.
