The Housing Manager is a full-time, year round position at Boyne Mountain Resort.  The Housing Manager is in charge of welcoming new employees when they arrive to move in, assisting & supporting residents with any and all queries that arise, managing housing payments and accounts, ensuring all housekeeping and maintenance needs are met, maintaining all resident paperwork, and assisting Security, Housekeeping, and HR as needed.  The Housing Manager lives in the Team Member Housing unit at Boyne Mountain.  As a Boyne Mountain team member, there are so many awesome perks for you to take advantage of, such as:  ski passes, golf passes, waterpark passes, and discounts for food, beverages, retail, daycare, and so much more! Responsibilities

 

  • Preparation of facilities for resident arrival (inventory check sheets, linens, kitchen appliances, reallocation of furniture as needed). Resupplying housing needs prior to resident arrivals.
  • Field inquiries regarding employee housing.
  • Conduct move-ins ensuring accurate completion of all paperwork and communicate housing rules, policies and procedures.
  • Advise HR and Security Manager of concerns regarding questionable resident behaviors and incident report documentation.
  • Facilitate and implement emergency plans while providing support and communication to residents in the event of emergency situation (including power outage, road closures).
  • Follow and enforce all employee housing rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Respond to tenant questions, issues and concerns.
  • Coordinate with Building Maintenance teak of maintenance/safety issues
  • Assist in conducting seasonal room inspections.
  • Assist with distribution of room key assignments and replacement keys.
  • Assist with distribution of housing memos and notices and to residents.
  • Conflict Resolution - Assist in resolving any resident conflicts through professional, courteous, and solution minded actions and behaviors.
  • Assist with snow removal in front of housing unit entrance areas.
  • Act as primary contact and resource for all residents
  • Assists with planning cultural events for the work and travel program participants.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Additional skills in basic building maintenance, construction and/or plumbing considered a plus.  
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and evenings
  • Basic computer knowledge, MS Word and Excel required; PowerPoint preferred
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making situations, good organizational and record-keeping skills, and good independent judgment
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential material.
  • Must have the ability to communicate and relate effectively with a very diverse group of team members.
  • Must be able to lift up to and more than 50 pounds
