Lift Mechanic is a full-time, year-round position at Boyne Highlands Resort. Primary responsibilities of this job are to maintain and repair all aspects of Boyne Highlands Resort’s carpets and chair lifts.

Responsibilities

Maintain, repair and insure safe operation of all Boyne Highlands chairlifts, carpets and other cable rope transportation systems.

 

Perform scheduled routine maintenance as well as diagnostic maintenance.

 

Maximize safety within all aspects of the department.

 

Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.

 

Maintain certifications, licenses and training as necessary.

 

Assist in other tasks as determined by the Lift Maintenance Manager, including but not limited to; lift construction, refinishing, lift operations, and other resort needs.

 

Qualifications

Judgment

 

Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions.

 

Education and/or Experience                                                       

 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in lift maintenance preferred. Mechanical abilities and a working knowledge of low voltage systems required. Candidates should be experienced in detachable and fixed grip lifts along with surface lifts.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

 

Lift Maintenance must possess valid driver’s license.

 

Work Environment

 

While performing the duties of this Job, the Team Member is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold; risk and of electrical shock. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high
