Overview

Sunday River is hiring a VP of Sales and Marketing, a senior leadership position responsible for driving resort revenue growth across all marketing and sales efforts.

 

This is a full-time, year-round position with benefits, reporting directly to the Resort President. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve on the resort’s senior management team and contribute insight and perspective on resort-wide operations and customer experience. Contribute to long-term development plans for resort including capital investment and real estate.
  • Strategic growth planning including brand positioning, market definition, and audience targeting. 
  • Serve as a guest advocate and lead guest experience design and journey mapping across the resort.
  • Lead the marketing, sales, revenue management, and contact center teams with direct reports from each.  Support directors in developing team structure, hiring, and mentoring.
  • Oversee development of annual marketing and sales plans including product mix, sales strategies, communications plans, and promotional calendars.  Set goals across business segments and channels.
  • Lead the pricing process for ski and lodging categories across all marketing and sales channels to maximize both revenue and margin.  Contribute to pricing decisions across other product categories.
  • Work collaboratively with resort sales director on market segment targeting, product development and pricing, and sales strategy.
  • Manage the long-term development of the Sunday River resort brand and any additional or associated brands across resort functions and operations.
  • Develop and manage partner and sponsor relationships across all resort divisions.
  • Create annual budgets for guest visitation, revenue, and expenses, collaborating with VP of Finance and Resort President.

Qualifications

Five years’ experience in a leadership role across marketing and sales, preferable in the resort or hospitality fields.
