To patrol mountain areas for injured, reckless, lost downhill mountain bikers, and for biking hazards. Provide first aid and other necessary assistance to mountain bikers and hikers or other Loon guests. Enforce company mountain bike safety regulations. Complete ongoing training and emergency procedures practice. Perform various trail maintenance tasks. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to ride and downhill mountain bike at an advanced or above skill level, capable of handling all types of terrain in all weather conditions. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
A current membership of National Ski Patrol.
A current Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) certification preferred, or posses a current state Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
A current Health Care Provider C.P.R. Certification, Resort Certified in Blood Borne Pathogens training program, Hepatitis B Vaccination. Resort Certification for any used equipment.
