Overview

Brighton Resort is looking for fun, energetic, enthusiastic summer camp counselors and assistant counselors, who love working with children, to lead and guide groups of children ages 6 – 15.

With a focus on fun and educational activities, Camp Brighton provides an exciting learning environment to promote campers’ creativity, perseverance, and collaboration.

 

Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday,  8:45 am – 4:45 pm

Responsibilities

  • Lead Counselors:
    • Guiding groups of children at Camp Brighton and ensuring each child is safe, engaged, and having fun.
    • Guide hikes, lead activities and games

  • Assistant Counselors:
    • Will assist Lead Counselors in ensuring all campers are safe, and having fun while at Camp Brighton
    • Participate in guiding hikes, camp activities and organizing games

Qualifications

  • Lead Counselors:
    • Significant experience working with children ages 6 – 15 is required
    • Teachers with summer camp and childhood development experience is preferred
    • A level of physical fitness will be required and ability to be active at 9000+ ft in the mountains surrounding Brighton Resort.
    • CPR and First Aid certifications
    • Subject to background screening prior to employment

  • Assistant Counselors:
    • 16+ years old and have some experience working with children between the ages of 8 – 12.
    • Familiar with summer camps from work experience or attendance at summer camps is preferred
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • A level of physical fitness is required and ability to be active at 9000+ ft in the mountain surrounding Brighton Resort
