The Host's typical job functions include:

  • Greeting and seating guests
  • Answering phones, taking food orders and answering guests questions
  • Using point of sale system to complete transactions, balancing cash drawers and preparing deposits
  • Bussing tables, assisting servers with table maintenance and stocking of the restaurant
  • Assisting cooks, servers and bartenders with various tasks as needed
  • Ensuring all menus are wiped down, free of spots or stains, and complete
  • Keeping host stand neat, clean and organized at all times and properly supplied for operation

  • Scheduling dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for guests

  • Assisting in maintaining dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and other dining room supplies for tables and serving stations



This position may be for you if:

  • You are 18 years old
  • You have achieved a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • You are available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • You possess excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with people
  • You are able to stand for long periods of time
