Sunday River’s Events Coordinator is detailed oriented, organized and exhibits a positive attitude. This person is collaborative, enjoys working on multiple projects across multiple departments, and possesses strong written and verbal skills. The Event Coordinator will focus on executing Sunday River’s event calendar, ensuring it is executed in a timely, seamless, guest-oriented manner. At their core, the Event Coordinator will be responsible for a positive guest experience of the attendees at all Sunday River events. This position requires a strong, can-do attitude with the ability to problem solve and think creatively in all situations. Must be able to work positively and effectively with many personalities across resort departments including frequent communication for event success. Expected to be available during all operation hours, including weekends and holidays, especially in the winter season.


This position is full-time, year-round with fewer hours in late spring and late fall.


  • Coordinate all Sunday River events according to the events calendar. Oversee any additional staff needed.
  • Ensure that all event employees receive the guidance and support necessary for executing their role in the event.
  • Coordinate with all Sunday River departments and/or outside vendors for event success.
  • Coordinate all on-site needs for events and ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
  • Writes, updates and publishes event listings and event recaps that may include photographs and/or videos.
  • Work with Marketing department to publicize events through all marketing channels, including website, social media and on-site.
  • Meets with department managers in pre and post event mode to ensure a high level of event collaboration and communication.
  • Creates and/or coordinates event conceptual process as needed.
  • Maintain budgetary guidelines for each event, activity or promotion.
  • Maintain and enhance a guest focused culture at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Dedicated to providing great customer service.
  • Must have computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Must display excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, as well as customer service skills.
  • Uses independent judgment, initiative, and good human relations and problem solving skills in the application and follows through on actions.
  • Must show demonstrated attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to act independently, quickly & effectively on arising opportunities.
  • Must have excellent organization skills, be able to handle a high number of projects simultaneously, and meet required deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Associates Degree and/or relevant marketing, events or life experience will be helpful in this role.
