Sugarloaf Lift Control serves as a bridge of communication between the lift department and many other departments. This position communicates via radio, phone, and email to relay information and to coordinate the opening and closing of lifts throughout the day. Sugarloaf is seeking candidates for the position of Snow Controller to operate pumps and compressors in the Snowmaking Department. Previoius experience and knowledge of running pumps and compressors is necessary. Candidate needs to be a good communicator while working independently within a team environment sharing pertinent information to the snowmaking team. Computer skills are required to run the program for water pumps, compressors, maintenance logs and applying pertinent information from computer to the snowmaking operation. The primary duty of the Resort Janitor is to keep all common, office, and building areas clean. They also park cars, drive 10-30 passenger capacity buses, provide mountain information to resort guests, and work as part of a team to provide transportation and information. Sugarloaf is seeking Parking Lot Attendants for the 2020-2021 winter season. The primary responsibility of this position is to direct guests to park in a safe and efficient manner. Additionally, Parking Lot Attendants greet guests, answer questions regarding Sugarloaf and its surrounding area, and also help load/unload gear, skis and luggage to cars and shuttles.
A Sugarloaf Lift Operator assists guests in getting on and off chair lifts by operating ski lifts, including inspecting and testing for safety before opening. Lift Operators also maintain corrals, ramps, and work areas by shoveling and raking snow. A Sugarloaf Lift Operator must be reliable, energetic, outgoing, and able to interact with guests in a friendly and fun manner. This is an outdoor position and work occurs in all weather conditions.

Race and Event Crew members set up, run, and tear down all alpine, snowboard, and freestyle competitions and events on the mountain with the overall goal of providing professional and safe events for all. Race or competition experience is helpful for this role, but not necessary. The right candidate for this position will be able to ski or ride on all mountain trails in all conditions and will be able to work outside all day.

Sugarloaf Ski Patrol provides a safe recreational experience for our guests, high quality rescue services, and other guest service contacts. Patrol is responsible formanaging the general safety of guests and on-mountain employees through the winter season. This includes both prevention and after-incident first aid care. Daily activities of a Ski Patroller may include, but are not limited to monitoring mountain areas for injured, reckless, and lost skiers/snowboarders and for skiing hazards; providing first aid and other necessary assistance to skiers and snowboarders; enforcing company skiing safety regulations; completing ongoing training and emergency procedures practice; and performing various trail and lift inspections and maintenance tasks. Lift Maintenance Technicians install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot lift equipment as well as assist lift operations with the start up and shut down of the lifts daily.
