Sugarloaf is currently seeking a full-time welder to join our Snowmaking department as soon as possible. A Snowmaking Welder works as part of a team to repair and upgrade our resort snowmaking system outside of our winter season operations. This role is responsible for 6010 and 8010 pipe welding downhill in all positions as well as 7018 uphill, requires work with cutting torches, and requires a steady hand with strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate for this position will be self-motivated, able to think on their own, and will have in-depth knowledge of welding machinery and electrical equipment. If you are an experienced pipe welder looking for an outdoor position with a strong team, this is the job for you. This summer/fall seasonal role has the potential to become a winter position as well for the right fit.
Sugarloaf is now hiring Shuttle Drivers for our winter season. Shuttle Drivers provide day and night operations of shuttle services. They also park cars, drive 10-30 passenger capacity buses, provide mountain information to resort guests, and work as part of a team to provide transportation and information. Sugarloaf is seeking outdoor enthusiasts to join our Mountain Operations Team as Lift Operators for the coming winter season. Sugarloaf Lift Operators assist guests by operating our resort ski lifts, including inspecting and testing for safety before opening. Lift Operators maintain lift line mazes, lift area ramps, and other work areas by shoveling and raking snow. A Sugarloaf Lift Operator must be reliable, energetic, outgoing, and able to interact with guests in a friendly and fun manner. This is an outdoor position and work occurs in all weather conditions. Wages are based on experience and will start at $15 per hour. There are full time and part time roles available in this position. Sugarloaf is seeking to hire a full-time, year-round experienced Lift Maintenance Technician to join our team. We are seeking detail-oriented, physically fit candidates who are willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions, day or night, for this role. Lift Maintenance Technicians install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot lift equipment as well as assist lift operations with the start up and shut down of the lifts daily. They also read diagrams and manufacturers’ manuals, fit bearings, rebuild sheave trains, service grips and perform other mechanical procedures requiring specialized training. Candidates must be able to work at great heights and should have at least 3 years of lift maintenance experience.
Sugarloaf Ski Patrol provides a safe recreational experience for our guests, high quality rescue services, and other guest service contacts. Patrol is responsible for managing the general safety of guests and on-mountain employees through the winter season. This includes both prevention and after-incident first aid care. Daily activities of a Ski Patroller may include, but are not limited to monitoring mountain areas for injured, reckless, and lost skiers/snowboarders and for skiing hazards; providing first aid and other necessary assistance to skiers and snowboarders; enforcing company skiing safety regulations; completing ongoing training and emergency procedures practice; and performing various trail and lift inspections and maintenance tasks. Most work is performed on skis or a snowboard.

A Snowmaking Foreman will take part in and oversee the operations of the shift crew to assure safe and efficient operation of snowmaking equipment. Sugarloaf Lift Maintenance Department is seeking a mechanically inclined person to work as a Lift Mechanic Helper for our summer season. No experience working on ski lifts is necessary; training will be provided for all industry specific skills and knowledge. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable using a variety of power and hand tools. We will teach you to use a parts washer, do sandblasting in a sandblasting cabinet, remove and install wheel bearings, spray paint parts, and to operate a ski lift.
