This Night position assists guests directly with their needs. This role also works in laundry and prepares the housekeeping vehicle fleet for the next day. Sugarloaf is seeking Parking Lot Attendants for the 2019-2020 winter season. The primary responsibility of this position is to direct guests to park in a safe and efficient manner. Additionally, Parking Lot Attendants greet guests, answer questions regarding Sugarloaf and its surrounding area, and also help load/unload gear, skis and luggage to cars and shuttles.

Base Services has several job openings for custodians. Knowledge of general carpentry, painting a plus but no experience is necessary, training will be provided. Candidates must have own transportation, be timely, detail oriented, willing to learn, and have a positive attitude. The job entails all types of cleaning inside, to include vacuuming, maintenance/cleaning of restrooms, and working outside in all types of weather clearing doorways, walkways, and stairs of snow/ice. The Sugarloaf Sales Department is seeking to hire a part-time representative in our Day Groups division for this coming winter season. A Day Groups Service Representative is the link between the Sales Department and Day Groups Lift Tickets, Rentals, and other needs of the group for their day. The Day Groups Service Rep is there to ensure proper execution of the distribution of lift tickets, rentals, and other ski related requests and questions. The Day Groups Service Representative coordinates with the sales team and the sales service manager to ensure quality service. This is a part-time winter position with a 20 hour work week that may include weekends and holidays.

The Sugarloaf Housekeeping Department is looking for positive and motivated individuals to join their team as Resort Housekeepers for this coming winter season. The goal of the Department is to provide a superior lodging product in all aspects of the resort operations. The job of a Sugarloaf Resort Housekeeper includes all aspects of keeping the resort clean and may include acting as a Guest Room Attendant (in both the hotel and condo areas) along with Janitorial and Laundry Attendant duties. This is a full-time seasonal position that pays minimum wages plus incentive. Staff will be cross-trained in all areas of housekeeping and work shifts as requested by occupancy demands and the requests of the hotel management team.

Our Outside Skier Services Attendant is the very front line of guest service. The must greet guests in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner. The purpose of the job is to accuratley help first time guests and be able to answer, or find the answer to, any guest questions. Direct guests to the place on the resort where they need to go and assist them getting there.
This is a good part time job with only a couple of hours on weekend mornings and vacation weeks.

The Ski and Snowboard School Support Team Members are responsible for assisting in many aspects of the day-to-day operations in our Ski and Snowboard School. Team members will be help maintain the indoor facilities, help with rentals for children, help prepare and serve lunch service for up to 200 guests, and assistance with check-in and check-out procedures of child students. Team members will also spend time with small children performing indoor programming activities, assisting in ski school classes and helping to motivate children when necessary and any other duties assigned by the Lead Support Team Member.

Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation/Carrabassett Valley Police Department is accepting applications for the position of full-time Police Officer. Our Police Officers patrol a rural area which also includes the Sugarloaf Ski Resort which is known as the “largest ski resort, east of the Rockies”. Duties include patrol, traffic enforcement, motor vehicle crash investigations and criminal investigations as well as responding to alarms and overall security for Sugarloaf Mountain Ski Resort. This is a small resort town, which can swell to roughly 10,000 people in the winter with numerous bars and music venues.
Applicants must be a high school graduate and possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving history and no criminal record. Individuals with military experience, an Associates Degree or greater, or certified Maine Criminal Justice Academy graduates with current police certification are encouraged to forward a resume.

Sugarloaf is looking for a person to join the resort & hotel maintenance team maintaining and improving the resort. Responsible areas include the Base Lodge, Competition Center, Bullwinkles, village areas and Sugarloaf Mountain. You need to have varied maintenance capabilities, be able to work independently on job duties. Troubleshooting and the ability to safely perform minor work on appliances, plumbing & heating, electrical, general furnishings, spas, internal and external structures. Duties include switchboard operation, reservations, arrival and departure details, daily cash-ups, bank deposits, research of guest transactions, along with working with other departments to ensure quality guest experience during the stay at Sugarloaf.

To join our team we are seeking detailed-orientated, physically fit candidates who are willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions, day or night. Lift mechanics install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot lift equipment as well as assist lift operations with the start up and shut down of the lifts daily. They also read diagrams and manufacturers’ manuals, fit bearings, rebuild sheave trains, service grips and perform other mechanical procedures requiring specialized training.
