Sugarloaf is looking for a detail-oriented and well-organized individual to join our team our Accounting team. An Accounting Administrator assists the Resort Controller by performing a variety of clerical and organizational tasks. This position will assist in general filing and organization protocols for the Accounting Office. This is a seasonal position with the opportunity to become full-time year-round and benefit eligible.
Sugarloaf is seeking candidates for the position of Information Systems Coordinator (ISC). This job requires extensive, daily contact with both Sugarloaf staff and guests. Customer service is a key element of the job and adherence to Sugarloaf's service values is mandatory. For the most part, Sugarloaf employees are the IT department’s customers.
The primary functions of this role are to:
- provide desktop PC support to employees and customers
- maintain voice, data, and TV cabling infrastructure (indoor and outdoor); repair or replace damaged wiring; install and terminate wiring to support renovation, relocation, or new construction
- provide direct guest support for guest room issues, including but not limited to: TV, phone and internet
- troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace various systems, including but not limited to: end user computers, phones, TVs and printers
- use vendor support to resolve difficult problems
- provide users with basic instruction
- document solutions for both end user education and technical reference purposes
- perform and maintain an inventory of tools and equipment; maintain stocks of consumable supplies
- perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
The use of a personal vehicle for travel within the Sugarloaf area is required. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
Weekend work schedule is required. Evening work may be needed during scheduled maintenance or in case of emergency.
On-site work is required with the option of some remote capabilities.
Wage will start at entry level with the potential for increase based on performance and experience. This is a full-time, year-round position that is eligible for benefits.

Sugarloaf is seeking personable and friendly people to work as seasonal agents in our reservations call center for this upcoming winter season. A Sugarloaf Call Center Reservations Agent plays a key role in helping guests plan their Sugarloaf vacations. A Reservations Agent is expected to manage a high volume of telephone calls to assist guests in making their lodging reservations; in selecting resort packages and lift ticket options; and must also be able to respond to guest queries regarding a wide variety of additional resort offerings. Sugarloaf is looking for a Terrain Park Groomer for the upcoming winter season. The Terrain Park Groomer is responsible for the grooming and nightly maintenance of all terrain parks and features within the terrain parks in coordination with the department’s winter plan and day crew communications. Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation is accepting applications for a Public Safety Dispatcher within the Carrabassett Valley Police Department and Sugarloaf Security. The role of this position is to answer and dispatch calls for the local fire, polce, rescue, and security departments.

Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation/Carrabassett Valley Police Department is accepting applications for the position of full-time Police Officer. Our Police Officers patrol and investigate crimes in the rural area of the Town of Carrabassett Valley which includes the Sugarloaf Ski Resort. Duties include patrol, traffic enforcement, criminal and traffic investigations as well as responding to alarms and overall security for Sugarloaf Mountain Ski Resort. This is a small resort town which can swell to roughly 10,000 people in the winter with numerous bars and music venues.

Sugarloaf is seeking to hire a full time year round Lift Maintenance Technician to join our team. We are seeking detail-oriented, physically fit candidates who are willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions, day or night, for this role. Lift Maintenance Technicians install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot lift equipment as well as assist lift operations with the start up and shut down of the lifts daily. They also read diagrams and manufacturers’ manuals, fit bearings, rebuild sheave trains, service grips and perform other mechanical procedures requiring specialized training. Sugarloaf is currently seeking a reliable individual to take on the role of Snowmaking Foreman with our night crew for the upcoming winter season. A Snowmaking Foreman will take part in and oversee the operations of the shift crew to assure safe and efficient operation of snowmaking equipment. The Foreman sets the standards for safety and quality of work. This is a full time seasonal position that starts in late October and is eligible for seasonal resort benefits.
Sugarloaf is seeking candidates for the position of Snow Controller to operate pumps and compressors in the Snowmaking Department for the upcoming winter season. Previous experience and knowledge of running pumps and compressors is necessary. Candidate needs to be a good communicator while working independently within a team environment to share pertinent information with the snowmaking team. Computer skills are required to run the program for water pumps, compressors, maintenance logs and to make decisions for the snowmaking operation. A Snow Controller must able to maximize efficiency; run necessary components according to temperature, monitor water and air flows; and must be able to turn compressors and pumps on and off accordingly. This role requires availability for overnight shifts (7 am to 7 pm) and is eligible for seasonal resort benefits.
The Sugarloaf Housekeeping department is looking for dependable people to work as Laundry Attendants. This is an essential role to our lodging houskeeping operations. You must be able to do very physical work including being able to lift 30 lbs., push heavy carts repetitive tugging, pulling, pushing, lifting and standing. Must work weekends and holidays. Positive team work environment with weekly incentives.

Sugarloaf Ski Patrol provides a safe recreational experience for our guests, high quality rescue services, and other guest service contacts. Patrol is responsible for managing the general safety of guests and on-mountain employees through the winter season. This includes both prevention and after-incident first aid care. Daily activities of a Ski Patroller may include, but are not limited to monitoring mountain areas for injured, reckless, and lost skiers/snowboarders and for skiing hazards; providing first aid and other necessary assistance to skiers and snowboarders; enforcing company skiing safety regulations; completing ongoing training and emergency procedures practice; and performing various trail and lift inspections and maintenance tasks. Most work is performed on skis or a snowboard.
Dishwashers are a key position for all of our restaurants and cafeterias. Shifts will vary and require nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
Sugarloaf Mountain Resort is seeking an Equipment Mechanic for the service and repair on our fleet of modern, high-tech grooming machines. This is a great opportunity for a career-minded person with a passion for the ski industry. Interested persons must have prior work experience in automotive, truck or equipment trade or have a tech school degree in a related field. Prior work experience in hydraulics, electrical diagnosis, hydrostatic transmissions, welding and fabrication is desired. We will train in house and will offer paid factory service school. Personal tools are required for this role, however we do offer a generous tool allowance for additional items.
