Sugarloaf Perfect Turn Ski & Snowboard School is searching for enthusiastic team members to teach children aged 2-5 how to ski and enjoy the mountain environment. It is not necessary to be an excellent skier or rider.
Hours are 9 to 11 Saturday and Sunday and February Vacation Week. This is a great opportunity for individuals to share their love of skiing with our littlest Sugarloafers without a full day commitment.

Sugarloaf is seeking a Resort Front Desk Clerk to work full time year round in the Lodging Department. This position interacts with guests for lodging stays as well as assisting in selling and organizing activities. Duties include switchboard operation, reservations, arrival and departure details, daily cash-ups, bank deposits, research of guest transactions, along with working with other departments to ensure quality guest experience during the stay at Sugarloaf.
Sugarloaf lodging department requires the staff to work schedules that can vary. Candidates that can work a flexible schedule for days, evenings and weekends are encouraged to apply. Schedules can change due to business levels.

Quickly and efficiently clears snow from customer walkways and other areas needing access in the winter months. Maintains great attitude and friendly demeanor with customers and co-workers at all times. Performs other general maintenance functions when there is no snow shoveling needed. This can be a varied range of duties.

Base Services has several job openings for custodians. Knowledge of general carpentry, painting a plus but no experience is necessary, training will be provided. Candidates must have own transportation, be timely, detail oriented, willing to learn, and have a positive attitude. The job entails all types of cleaning inside, to include vacuuming, maintenance/cleaning of restrooms, and working outside in all types of weather clearing doorways, walkways, and stairs of snow/ice. Must be able to lift 40+ lbs. Taking care of the entire Base Lodge inside and out is the priority. Must be a self-starter, willing to work weekends and holidays. We have 3 shifts available.

Job duties include: stripping linens and trash from rooms, making beds, vacuuming and dusting, washing windows and walls, cleaning and setting up bathrooms and kitchens, and distributing resort information into rooms. Other duties include assisting in the laundry departments. Must be a team player, safety conscience, have good guest service skills, and lift up to 30 lbs. Monday to Sunday, Start date Mid December.

This position requires the setup and tear down of all alpine, snowboard and freestyle events. Being able to ski or ride in all conditions on all trails is a must. You will be required to ski or ride carrying 25-35 lbs of equipment down trails to event sites. You will be on snow outside all day.

Primary responsibilities of this position are to direct guest to park in a safe and efficient manner. Greet guests, answer questions regarding Sugarloaf and its surrounding area, and help load/unload gear, skis and luggage to cars/shuttles.

Provide day and night operation of shuttle service. Park cars and drive 10-30 passenger capacity buses. Provide mountain information to resort guests. Work as part of a team to provide transportation and information. CDL desired, must have a safe driving record and ability to drive in adverse conditions. Good communication skills are a must. Must be at least 18 years old

Sugarloaf Outdoor Center is Maine's largest Nordic center and is located downhill from the Alpine resort. We featuring a modern ski lodge, trails groomed for cross-country skiing, snowshoe trails that offer many great woodland adventures, and ice skating on an NHL sized rink. To keep our guests fueled for their adventures, the Bull Moose Café is always crafting new homemade soups, sandwiches and baked goods. We also offer equipment rental, repair and Nordic ski lessons 7 days a week during the winter season.

The Ski and Snowboard School Support Team Members are responsible for assisting in many aspects of the day-to-day operations in our Ski and Snowboard School. Team members will be help maintain the indoor facilities, help with rentals for children, help serve lunch, and assistance with check-in and check-out procedures of child students. Team members will also spend time with small children performing indoor programming activities, assisting in ski school classes and helping to motivate children when necessary and any other duties assigned by the Lead Support Team Member.

Downhill Supply Company at Sugarloaf Mountain is currently seeking energetic and dependable ski/snowboard technicians for the winter season. Applicants must provide excellence to our guests in all aspects of winter equipment repair and service including: binding mounting and adjustments; equipment repair; tuning and waxing, and other retail tasks as necessary. You must be available days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Experience with Wintersteiger Mercury SD preferred, though willing to train desired candidate.

We are looking for a hands-on chef who is creative and proficient in all aspects of food preparation. The chef will recruit, train and manage a staff of 10 people or more, establish work schedules and assess staffs’ performance, supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities, estimate food consumption, purchase food, plan menus, standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality, establish presentation technique and quality standards, ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance, and ensure proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen. The chef is responsible for providing top-quality products and service while managing within the budgeted labor, supply and cost of goods guidelines. He/She will prepare guest meals and work closely with the Resort Executive Chef and other outlets within the company and is also responsible for remedying problems or complaints from guests, performing administrative duties and attending essential meetings. The ability to present a professional manner and maintain composure during pressure situations is a must. Work shifts will vary based on business levels and necessary job tasks, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with more time being needed during periods of extremely heavy business.

The Sugarloaf Housekeeping department is looking for a dependable person who want to join our team. Sugarloaf Room Attendent is reponsible for cleaning guest rooms. This position also helps out with janitorial and laundry attendent duties when needed. You must be able to do very physical work including being able to lift 30lbs, push heavy carts, repetitive tugging, pulling, pushing, lifting and standing.
Must be able to work weekends & holidays. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Sugarloaf is hiring Public Area Janitors for the Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining hotel public areas and assists housekeeping and laundry when needed. This position delivers items to hotel and condo guests. Janitors must be able to lift at least 30 lbs and do physical work. Ability to work Weekends, holidays and nights is a required. This position requires applicants to be 18 years of age or older.

Provide accurate daily trail/wax info to guests, fit rental equipment and provide sales assistance to guests. Maintain and clean lodge facilities daily, handle cash and lead outdoor programs and teach lessons as assigned. Must be active, physically fit and able to be on your feet for 8 hours. Basic Nordic knowledge and skills required, ability and willingness to handle multiple tasks. High school education and retail experience preferred. Ski tuning knowledge is a plus.

Sugarloaf is seeking to hire a full time year round Lift Mechanic Technician. To join our team we are seeking detailed-orientated, physically fit candidates who are willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions, day or night. Lift mechanics install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot lift equipment as well as assist lift operations with the start up and shut down of the lifts daily. They also read diagrams and manufacturers’ manuals, fit bearings, rebuild sheave trains, service grips and perform other mechanical procedures requiring specialized training. Candidates must be able to work at great heights.
