This position interacts with guests for lodging stays as well as assisting in selling and organizing activities. Duties include switchboard operation, reservations, arrival and departure details, daily cash-ups, bank deposits, research of guest transactions, along with working with other departments to ensure quality guest experience during the stay at Sugarloaf.
Sugarloaf lodging department requires the staff to work schedules that can vary. Candidates that can work a flexible schedule for days, evenings and weekends are encouraged to apply. Schedules can change due to business levels.

Sugarloaf Resort is accepting candidates for the open position of Leisure Service Manager in the Sales Office. The Leisure Service Manager is responsible for account management of contracted groups. This position works with Group Leaders on coordination of their trips. This position is responsible for tracking key decision dates of group deposits, room releases, activity orders and guarantees. The manager coordinates on on-resort guest services, working with internal departments to ensure quality guest experiences. Accurate tracking of revenue dispersion to the appropriate points of sales for group business is also a key function of the manager role. Key departments this position works with are the lodging division, ski or golf division, food & beverage, transportation and accounting.

Sugarloaf is seeking candidates for a Leisure Service Representative working in our Saeles Office with the Leisure Service Manager on the detailing of groups, events, weddings and conferences sold by the sales team. Lodging, Activities, Transportation, Food & Beverage needs are coordinated with organizers and internal departments. The Leisure Service Representative is responsible for organizing and servicing trip details for groups that are staying in Sugarloaf lodging accommodations; from trip booking through departure and working with on-mountain departments to coordinate all aspects of group trips.
This position is responsible for all communication between internal departments along with coordinating all billing with the group organizers and ensuring all revenues are driven through the correct departments points of sales for accurate reporting.
Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation/Carrabassett Valley Police Department is accepting applications for the position of full-time Police Officer. Our Police Officers patrol a rural area which also includes the Sugarloaf Ski Resort which is known as the “largest ski resort, east of the Rockies”. Duties include patrol, traffic enforcement, motor vehicle crash investigations and criminal investigations as well as responding to alarms and overall security for Sugarloaf Mountain Ski Resort. This is a small resort town, which can swell to roughly 10,000 people in the winter with numerous bars and music venues.
Applicants must be a high school graduate and possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving history and no criminal record. Individuals with military experience, an Associates Degree or greater, or certified Maine Criminal Justice Academy graduates with current police certification are encouraged to forward a resume.

Sugarloaf is seeking an organized, detail orientated, self-motivated, enthusiastic team player to join the Building Maintenance Team. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Performing basic maintenance on plumbing, electrical, appliances, furniture, and general building maintenance trades. Must understand oral and written directions. Must be able to work alone, work safely and have the ability to operate basic hand and power tools. Must pass security screening prior to hiring. Must have reliable vehicle and hold valid driver’s license. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
Sugarloaf is looking for a person to join the resort & hotel maintenance team maintaining and improving the resort. Responsible areas include the Base Lodge, Competition Center, Bullwinkles, village areas and Sugarloaf Mountain. You need to have varied maintenance capabilities, be able to work independently on job duties. Troubleshooting and the ability to safely perform minor work on appliances, plumbing & heating, electrical, general furnishings, spas, internal and external structures. A positive attitude towards guests and others is necessary for this resort position. Use of personal vehicle required as well as personal hand tools. Sugarloaf is seeking carpenters / laborers for a 5 to 6 month period over the summer and into the fall working with our resort team on construction projects.

Sugarloaf is seeking candidates for the position of Information Systems Coordinator (ISC). This job requires extensive, daily contact with both Sugarloaf guests and Sugarloaf employees. Customer service is a key element of the job and adherence to Sugarloaf's service values is mandatory. For the most part, Sugarloaf employees are the IT department’s customers.
- Provide desktop PC support to employees and customers.
- Maintain voice, data, and TV cabling infrastructure (indoor and outdoor). Repair or replace damaged wiring. Install and terminate wiring to support renovation, relocation, or new construction.
- Provide direct guest support for guest room issues, including but not limited to: TV, phone and internet.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace various systems, including but not limited to: end user computers, phones, TVs and printers. Use vendor support to resolve difficult problems.
- Provide users with basic instruction.
- Document solutions for both end user education and technical reference purposes.
- Perform and maintain an inventory of tools and equipment. Maintain stocks of consumable supplies.
- Additional tasks will be assigned by supervisor.
- Use of personal vehicle for travel within the Sugarloaf area is required. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
Weekend work schedule is required. Evening work may be needed during scheduled maintenance or in case of emergency.

Sugarloaf Mountain retail locations are currently seeking enthusiastic and dependable sales associates for the summer season. Applicants must be available to work days, weekends, and holidays. Sugarloaf expects our team to provide excellent customer service in all aspects of winter soft goods sales and service in any one of our locations, including Downhill Supply Company, Kuhl Signature Shop, Sugarloafer Shop, Burton Signature Store, and Sugarloaf Board Room.
Knowledge of winter sports and merchandise preferred, though we will to train desired candidates.
We are looking for a hands-on chef who is creative and proficient in all aspects of food preparation. The chef will recruit, train and manage a staff of 10 people or more, establish work schedules and assess staffs’ performance, supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities, estimate food consumption, purchase food, plan menus, standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality, establish presentation technique and quality standards, ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance, and ensure proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen. The chef is responsible for providing top-quality products and service while managing within the budgeted labor, supply and cost of goods guidelines. He/She will prepare guest meals and work closely with the Resort Executive Chef and other outlets within the company and is also responsible for remedying problems or complaints from guests, performing administrative duties and attending essential meetings. The ability to present a professional manner and maintain composure during pressure situations is a must. Work shifts will vary based on business levels and necessary job tasks, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with more time being needed during periods of extremely heavy business.
Sugarloaf Trail Crew is currently maintaining and improving the gladed ski/ snowboard areas on Burnt Mtn as well as continuing to maintain our existing trail and glade infrastructure located on Sugarloaf proper. We work closely with other mountain departments to assist them with any tree / brush removal. We often help with erosion control and slope stabilization as needed and have recently begun the process of maintaining some of the hiking trails found on Sugarloaf Mountain property.
Sugarloaf is seeking to hire a full time year round Lift Mechanic Technician. To join our team we are seeking detailed-orientated, physically fit candidates who are willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions, day or night. Lift mechanics install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot lift equipment as well as assist lift operations with the start up and shut down of the lifts daily. They also read diagrams and manufacturers’ manuals, fit bearings, rebuild sheave trains, service grips and perform other mechanical procedures requiring specialized training. Candidates must be able to work at great heights.
